Attractions crisis management: a Table Mountain cableway real-life case study
Social media and its potential to impact crisis communications for attractions has grown considerably over the past decade. On 1 January 2018, the Cableway faced a crisis on a similar scale to one experienced a decade earlier, in January 2008. This presentation will look at how social media affected the fallout from both incidents, the impact it had on Cableway operations, and how it affected communication with visitors and the media. Key learnings will also be highlighted.
