Emerging tourism trends in the attractions industry from a local and international perspective
A key element of a successful tourism sector is the ability to identify and adapt to new and emerging trends across the spectrum of the economic, political, environmental, and social drivers which effect the tourist experience. The sector is faced with major shifts in tourism development, reflecting changing consumer behaviours, political forces, environmental changes, economic constraints, and information technology. The challenge for key players in the private and public sectors is to account for these changes proactively, to achieve and maintain a competitive advantage for their attractions.
