The power of play in visitor experiences is often dismissed by many in the attractions field as “childish” or “just fun.” But a growing body of research shows that play is vitally important in children’s cognitive, physical, social and emotional development. Gretchen Wilson-Prangley suggests Africa’s attractions can become more successful by considering the unique needs of children as visitors.
